Shyler left our world this afternoon at about 5 pm for the Rainbow Bridge. Our vet did all he could to save him with yesterdays surgery.. However by about 4 pm today Shyler started showing signs of distress and was humanely euthanised. We did all we could to save him. Please help him along his journey to the Rainbow Bridge with your prayers.. Thank you..
Rest in peace little Shyler.. You fought hard little guy- we just wish things would have been different and we could have helped you find a happy forever home..
Please be aware that our vet bill for Shyler does not just go away with him.. We are still in desperate need of donations so we can carry on our rescue efforts... Please make a donation in Shyler's honor that we may be able to save the next baby that comes in.. Thank you..
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who have been ill and old are restored to health and vigour, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing:
they miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers.
Suddenly it begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, strong legs carrying him faster and faster.
YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands caress the beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together.

Thank you so much Marie.. Yes we fought hard I wish things would have turned out differently.. I think he would have been so happy to have a home with lots of love.. He loved attention and was always trying to be happy regardless of the pain he was in-- he would wag his little tail.. (aaahh crying again!!)
